Christmas and Festivity.

I haven't done a few blog posts in a while, so I decided quite a while ago, I would organise a special 'Christmas' post in advance.

I really enjoy the time around Christmas and the cheery happiness it brings. This year, I have decided to talk about gift guides and make more posts about Christmas and the New Year, which I hope will be quite helpful when you're trying to look for Christmas gift guides. Also this year, I will be writing new posts about updates with Christmas decorating ideas, including a few pictures and sneak peeks of our new Chistmas Tree this year.

There has been huge hype around white Christmas trees and elegant looking mantal pieces which include snow-like candles, spicy scents and that feeling of warmth when surrounded by a room filled with Christmas decorations! I've noticed in quite a few homeware and house books- (which are lovely enough to have as a coffee table book), they have opted for timeless pieces and bright colours. A few books have focused on more subtle features and tones when choosing Christmas decorations and trees. Red, green and gold are the favourites during Christmas tree/decoration picking, but lately quite a few people have been choosing white trees and beautiful Christmas ornaments which are white and have some sort of snow-like dustings dazzled elegantly over these decorations. Isn't it fun when choosing which tree to have and what decorations and homewares to buy, to decorate your house with? The joy of Christmas and the wait up until the special Christmas Day is quite exciting!

Here's a few ideas for you to think of when looking for Christmas homewares and trees!

September!

Hello everyone, Happy September!

The start of September, is known for it's blooming flowers and all things floral.

Lately, I've been overly drawn to floral-orientated pieces and i've been infatuated with garden-like, floral-like beauty products which include alot of natural ingredients. Natural ingredients are always beneficial in our lives. Tropical fruit has been a major favourite lately and so has florals!

Pastel colours have been quite inspirational this Spring, especially romantic-like colours! Floral scented perfumes with a hint of orange blossom, honey and peonies have been my favourite type of perfume to use. Lately, i've been loving 'Pretty' by Elizabeth Arden and 'Stella' by Stella McCartney. Another perfume that has been spoken about alot on blogs and youtube videos is Elie Saab 'Le Parfum'. It brings out the femininity in a perfume. The scent has notes of wood and floral, which is quite 'delicate'.

Studio Secrets Eyeshadow

I have a few blog posts and reviews for you all, that will hopefully be posted up sometime soon. I have quite a few reviews on recent products that I have been trying, which all surround beauty products and skincare products. I've recently bought a few products from the L'OrĂ©al Studio Secrets line which until now, I never knew much about.

My first impression of this line was that the packaging of the products are very smart and look nice. They've made the packaging look simple but appealing to the eye when you look at the products. The first product I bought from the beauty line, was the Studio Secrets Eyeshadow. The packaging says the eyeshadow is specifically made for people with brown eyes. I wouldn't say that this product is specifically made for people with brown eyes, because the colour/pigment of the eyeshadow suits all eye colours and all skin types.

The colour/pigment of the eyeshadow is a warm brown to a light gold with a slight shimmer added to it.  I apply this eyeshadow all over my eyelid and I use a little amount when applying it. I also use this eyeshadow as a inner-corner highlight on my eyes. It's a suitable colour to apply to the corner of the eyes as it creates a more awakening look to the eyes. The formula/texture of the eyeshadow is very quick and easy to apply to the eyelid. The texture of this eyeshadow is quite smooth and is very easy to apply, just lightly dust the shadow off using a basic eyeshadow brush (Base Shadow Brush by Real Techniques or EcoTools Eyeshadow Brush are great brushes to use when applying eyeshadow) and apply all over the eyelid.

Overall, I am quite impressed with this eyeshadow and I might have a look at the other eyeshadows in this beauty line. I highly recommend this product!

Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation!

Hello dears!

I am back and I do apologise for the recent wait for this blogpost to be up! I have been quite busy and it has taken me a bit of time to take photos of these products. But here it is! I have loads to tell you guys. So before I ramble on a bit more, I would like to tell you guys about these recent beauty products on the shelves and how much I am loving them.

I recently have noticed there was a huge hype about the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation and it caught my eye. There has been recent blogposts and many youtube videos that have talked about this product and so on. This product has only just been released, so it's a bit of a new shine and glamour on the shelves, also a beauty sensation! All the reviews and hype about this product, made me purchase a bottle.

Step one.
Step two.

Step three.

The Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation has advertised it's product to have an Anti-Fatigue Effect and Radiant Glow, which is exactly what it does. I was extraordinarily impressed with this product as it did reduce the signs of fatigue in your skin as well as giving your face a radiant glow. I felt as though the foundation gave me an illuminating effect to my skin which I was very pleased with.

How it looks when it is applied: This foundation was extremely easy to apply to my face as it was very soft in texture when pumped from the bottle. The colour I chose was 'Ivory' and it toned very well with my skin. The colour of the foundation in the bottle looks a shade dark than an Ivory colour, but when applied, it looks very much like the colour Ivory. The foundation itself has a very illuminating effect to it and I noticed when I was applying the foundation to my face, it had a little a bit of a shimmer added to it. The foundation doesn't feel or appear to be dewy but gives a very glowing 'Wake Up' effect on your face.

Pricing: The foundation is priced at around $20.00 which isn't too expensive but budget appropriate.

Overall, I was very pleased with this foundation and I definitely will be re-purchasing another bottle of this foundation! I highly recommend this product to everyone who loves Rimmel foundations or anyone that would like to try something new. I love it! :)

Nail Care Conditioning Lotion!

Hello dears!

I am back to do more blog posts for you all and share my ideas and such.
I recently have been interested in nail polish/nail care and upgrading my nail polish collection. There are quite a lot of nail polish brands and colours on the shelves these days which intrigues me even more. I tend to have a look at other blog pages that are focused around nail polish often and I always end up purchasing a certain nail polish. Recently, I have started growing my nails quite long as I used to have quite short and annoying nails. I've always had a liking towards long nails and how they look when painted with polish. I have posted a blogpost on a favourite 'Rimmel' nail polish here.

This particular product that I am focusing on is the Vaseline: Healthy hand and nail conditioning hand lotion. Which has advertised to 'Softens hands and strengthens nails by 50%.' I feel as though they advertised the product well and the product strived to do what it says. It contains keratin and vitamin E, which soothes dry skin and succeeds to push along nail growth.

You may come across quite a lot of nail care/ hand cream products that are suppose to enable nail growth and relieve dry hands. Often these products may cause irritation to the skin/nail and have false advertising to their product. But I was quite pleased with this product as it soothed my hands and enabled nail growth. I felt as though my nail growth became quicker and the nails looked quite healthy/stronger. The scent of this product was not harsh at all but had a slight floral/fruity scent added to it. My hands did not have any irritation to the hand lotion whatsoever which was greatly pleasing.

This bottle was 75mL which goes a long way and you don't need as much product when needed. The packaging of this product was quite pretty and the bottle is pink which makes it feel a little more 'girly'.

This product was priced at around $5.00 which is budget appropriate and quite affordable when it comes to hand cream/nail cream. I highly recommend this product!

Have you tried this product? What is your favourite hand cream/ nail cream?

Rimmel favourites!

Hello dears, I have another blogpost for you all which i'm extremely excited to share with you all! I have recently been looking at many beauty youtube videos about products they have been loving and would recommend others to use. I was watching a video on MeganIsobel's youtube page which I will link here, because you should check out her blog and youtube. She has amazing videos and I love the reviews she does on beauty products. Here is her youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/meganisobel

I was watching one of her youtube videos, which was the Nail Polish Collection video and it gave me a few ideas in what nail polish I should have a look at. There was one particular polish that caught my eye when I saw it! It was the Rimmel Lycra Pro nail polish in the shade 365 Beige Style. This nail polish is a very peachy colour but looks like that perfect nude nail polish. This shade has to be a beauty essential in everyones collection!

I was very pleased with the colour of the nail polish and how it looked when applied to my nails. It's a very subtle but pretty colour and can be worn with anything! It's that kind of colour that goes with any outfit! I'm an absolute fan of these subtle but neat coloured nail polishes. I was very impressed with the brush size and shape, as it was a wider shaped brush than the usual Rimmel nail polishes. The wider shaped brush lets you paint a little more on your nail rather than continuously painting every side of the nail which is very frustrating sometimes. I love Rimmel nail polishes and they always look quite lovely.

Another beauty product MeganIsobel was using in her Makeup Starter Kit video was the Rimmel Powder  Blush in the shade 001 Santa Rose. This colour is a peachy-rose pink shade which looks lovely when applied to the cheekbones and when contoured on the face.

The blush was very easy and manageable to apply to your face. It also gives your face a radiant and a light pink glow to your cheekbones. The texture of the blush is silky and feels very light on your face when applied. I will have some photos of what these two beauty products look like on my face and nails very soon, so stay tuned!

Overall, I must say I was pleased with these two Rimmel beauty products. I recommend these two products to anyone as these products are a beauty essential in everyones collection! I definitely will be re-purchasing these products once they have been used up. :)

These nail polishes are an appropriate price at only $9.95 each!
The powder blush was priced at around $9.95 each!

What's your favourite Rimmel nail polish and powder blush?

Dove Nourishing Oil Care!

There has been quite a few hair care products on the shelves these days that are repairing treatments for damaged or dry hair. Recently I have just been searching the internet and reading blogs about recent beauty products. I suddenly noticed an advertisement for the new Dove Nourishing Oil Care nutri-oil serum for damaged dry hair. I was pleased with reading a little information about this product beforehand so I wanted to check it out for myself. I bought a 40mL bottle for around $9.99. It has only been on the shelves for a little while now, but it has been selling quite happily.

The nutri-oil serum is a natural coconut and almond oil that is meant to reduce the appearance of dry or damaged hair. It restores smoothness, softness and shine without leaving the hair greasy. It leaves your hair 99% smoother and shiny.

I have used this product 3 or 4 times now and my hair has been feeling extremely soft, nourished and a little shine has been replaced back into my hair. The product doesn't leave your hair feeling greasy, but boosting the hair with smoothness and loads of shine. The product has a very natural scent added to it, which is very beneficial. It leaves your hair smelling like coconuts and almond, very amazing.

Overall, I completely loved this product and I will definitely purchase another bottle once I have used up all the product. I recommend this product to everyone who feels like they need a little more 'Oomph' in their hair! :)

Have you tried the new Dove Nourishing Oil Care serum? If so, what did you think of it?
